Luke Johnson is a senior at Elon University, double majoring in Journalism and Cinema/Television Arts with a double minor in photography and psychology. At school he is a photojournalist at Elon News Network, a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, and the vice president of the National Press Photographers Association chapter.

During his time in college his work has been published in USA Today, The New York Times, The San Diego Union-Tribune, The Burlington Times-News, San Diego Magazine, and The Kansas City Star to name a few.

Most recently he served as the photojournalism intern at The Kansas City Star where he spent the summer of 2022 learning and growing under a seasoned photojournalism staff. In North Carolina he is currently freelancing for the USA Today Network.

He is a versatile photojournalist that can take on any assignment, and is looking forward to anything that comes his way. He is excited for any opportunity to get better and is working on personal projects that he is passionate about.

When not in class or on assignment, Luke is often seen riding his longboard through campus or going on drives exploring his surroundings. He is a hiking enthusiast and loves spending time outdoors disconnecting from the rush of day-to-day life.

He is available for assignment and can be contacted via email at lukergj5@gmail.com, or by phone at (619) 905-3584.
